![]() ![]() With 5 games out of 8 possible under his belt, you might figure that Aeon would be a complete shoo-in for Soul Calibur 6, especially since the games he missed are simple spinoffs and the original title which predates his very creation, but honestly, he feels like a character that might be on the chopping block this time around, despite said pedigree. So, without further ado, let's have a look at who's missing.įirst appearance: Soul Calibur (1998) Number of games playable: 5 Last seen in: Soul Calibur 5 (2012) While we're unsure whether that statement can be taken as definitive or not, the stated purpose of the game supports the notion that we're probably not going to see newer characters, at least not initially, for this game. It must be noted that given the reboot nature of Soul Calibur 6, and its stated purpose of taking place roughly during Soul Calibur 1 and 2, as well as a statement made to IGN at Comic-Con that there will not be characters that originated in Soul Calibur 4 or 5 added to this game, we will focus exclusively on characters that predate those games. In this one, I will instead be looking at characters who have a chance, but not quite as good of one as the characters from the previous piece. ![]() In case you missed the first part of this article series, take a gander at it here, where I covered eight characters that seem pretty likely to join the fray. We've already seen many favorites come back, including mainstays Mitsurugi and Siegfried as well as much missed characters such as Taki, Talim and Sophitia, but there are many more characters people are longig to see return. Especially given the lackluster performance of the somewhat rushed Soul Calibur 5, it's clear that Namco Bandai and Project Soul will want to grab fans attention with returning favorites, some who missed the cut last time around. ![]()
